MaricopaNursing at Estrella Mountain Community College
EMCC is one of nine Maricopa County Community College District (MCCD) colleges that offer an Associate of Applied Science Degree in Nursing. Graduates of this nursing program are eligible to take the national licensing examination (NCLEX-RN), through the Arizona Board of Nursing, to become licensed registered nurses.
At this time, there are several program options available at Estrella Mountain Community College. We offer the Full-time Traditional Nursing Program for those students who have completed all prerequisite requirements, the Banner Health Nurse Fellows Program, and the Advanced Placement Nursing Program, which provides students who have completed a Practical Nursing Program or the Paramedic to RN Bridge Program the opportunity for "advance placement" into the MCCDNP at Block 3.
