Apply for federal student aid as soon after January 1, 2001 as possible. Priority consideration for limited financial aid
funds may be given to those completing the application process
in full prior to April 15.
- The Financial Aid Office will receive information from the
Federal Government in an electronic format, and the student
will receive a hard copy version.
- Submit all supplemental forms requested by the Financial
Aid Office as soon as possible after it is requested to prevent
unnecessary delays. (This may include tax returns, verification
documents, etc.).
- The Financial Aid Office will review all of the submitted
documents for accuracy, and will request clarification where
needed.
- The Financial Aid Office will determine a Financial Aid
Package which will be comprised of all the different financial
aid programs for which the student qualifies, and will send an
Award Notification Letter to the student.
- If the student wishes to apply for a student loan, the
student must submit a Loan Request to the school.
- Federal regulations require all federal student loan
borrowers complete a Loan Information
Session before receiving loan funds. You must attend this
session if you are a first time loan borrower at EMCC, even if
you attended it at another educational institution.
