Estrella Mountain Community College participates in the FFEL (Federal Family Education Loan) Stafford Loan Program. Below is information pertaining to Estrella Mountain Community College loan program. |

2. The student must not be in default on prior student loans or owe federal grant repayment. 3. The students then needs to complete a Loan Information Session on the Estrella Mountain financial aid website. The Loan Information Session needs to be printed and turned into the Financial Aid Office with a Loan Request Form. 4. The student will need to
indicate on the
Loan Request Form what lender they wish to use. A list
of lenders that participate in Estrella Mountain's loan program are listed
below.
5. After the loan is awarded and guaranteed, information will be sent to you by mail explaining how to sign your Master Promissory Note on-line. Remember - your loan will be divided into two disbursements. One will come toward the beginning of the loan period or semester and the one will arrive approximately half-way through the loan period. If you are a freshmen who has not borrowed at EMCC and who has not completed at least thirty credits hours, your loan cannot be disbursed until thirty days into the semester. |
