Organizing and Synthesizing Information
Learning to organize and synthesis information is the first key to understanding and using information effectively. Organizing information into categories or similar information is the first step to understanding the information gathered.
Synthesizing information requires a student to process information rather than simply copying and memorizing information. We must take the information and interact with this information by categorizing, analyzing, and comparing for bias, inadequacies, omissions, errors and value judgments. The final step is to take the information and relate it to our own knowledge and experience.
