Academic Scheduling Resources

Section Number Information

Section numbers are used as unique identifiers for a course in SIS (Student Information System). During the Fall and Summer I semesters "even" numbers are used.  During the Spring and Summer II semesters "odd" numbers are used.

Fall  and Summer I Semester Even Section Numbers:
Day classes use 1000-4948.
Evening classes use 5000-8948.

Spring and Summer II Semester Odd Section Numbers:
Day classes use 1001-4949.
Evening classes use 5001-8949.

Summer Terms are also indicated within sessions in SIS as follows:
 1 - 1ST SUMMER SESSION (DAY)
 2 - 2ND SUMMER SESSION (DAY)
 5 - EVENING SUMMER SESSION

(Note: Evening class sections start after 4:00 p.m. and are used for Saturdays.)
