Presenter and Attendee Comments

"This was a very high energy meeting devoted to detailing practical approaches to enhancing student performance within a critically important sector within higher education: 2-year Hispanic Serving Institutions. The final report will be of great value, not only to the National Science Foundation as seeks to make its programs more responsive to the grantee community, but also to other institutions seeking to make positive changes."

What a line-up! Thanks also for taking the leadership in this important endeavor. The time, energy and effort spent in preparation was obvious. Hopefully the work done at the symposium will have long-term impact of the students served by HSIs. I look forward to getting the draft of the report.

Again, thanks for everything. Please convey our appreciation and thanks to all at EMCC who worked on the symposium.

Be in touch. Saludos.Gracias.

Thank you for everything that you and your team did to coordinate such a successful NSF Symposium. The data generated from the various dialogues will undoubtedly yield a strong foundation for the ongoing work that needs to take place in Hispanic student preparation and achievement in math, science, and technology.

I want to thank you and all those at Estrella Mountain for the very wonderful Symposium last weekend. This morning we gave a report to our MESA faculty and used as a handout the good practices document. Everything about the Symposium was wonderful, especially the graciousness and care taken to make us all very comfortable.

I'd like to extend a sincere thank you for your hospitality and excellent symposium on Best Practices this past weekend. It was great to exchange ideas with colleagues about our different programs and work on possible solutions for these practices with regard to barriers and possible solutions. The food was fantastic, the organization outstanding, the technology terrific.

Thank you again for an educational experience to be long remembered.
