Course Statement of Purpose:

This website was developed by students from the ACE SCHOLARS Summer 2003 Program. The web pages that you will find here were created as part of the required projects for the course CIS133AA - WWW and the Internet. No HTML or WEB authoring tools, such as FrontPage or Netscape Composer, were used. The students learned the basics of HTML and directly coded HTML using a straight text editor, such as TextPad or WordPad.
As the instructor for this course as well as a professional software developer for the World Wide Web, I wanted the students to have a sound foundation and firm grasp of the basic concepts of WWW architecture, web server directory and file structure, and HTML tags and scripting. However imperfect these pages maybe, I commend and applaud the ACE SCHOLARS for the tremendous amount of work and effort they put into them and the knowledge they acquired in the process of producing their web pages. These delightful and fun students are well on their way to becoming web savvy, independent and analytical thinkers!
