In class, students will:

1.  Review asking about names and countries
2.  Practice vocabulary and phrases to talk about classroom things and actions.

3.  Practice vocabulary and phrases to talk about family.

For homework due Friday, 9/11:
1.  Do pages 21, 22, 27, and 28 in the textbook.
2.  Listen to all the cassette tape recordings for Units 1 and 2..

3.  Complete the second and third pages of the handout (Unit 2)  the teacher gave you in class 8/28.

4.  On a separate piece of paper, write 5-6 sentences to describe your classroom at Estrella Mountain Community College.  See the example on page 29 in your textbook.

5.  STUDY PAGES 2-31 FOR THE TEST you'll have on Friday, 9/11. 
6.  If you can, bring a photo of your family to talk about.

Personal Information - Watch the video and answer the questions.
Introductions & Small Talk - Listen and answer.
Our Family Roots - Listen, look at the photos, and answer the multiple choice questions

 

2.  Practice the alphabet by spelling names and countries
