Job Summary:
Responsible for the assessment and care of Emergency Department patients in a non-profit teaching hospital. The ideal candidate will be an ACLS Certified RN with six months of critical care experience.

Job Duties:
This person will perform all of the following tasks...

Assessment of children and Adults

Triage

Trauma team

Start IV's

Draw lab work

Insert NJ tubes, urinary catheters; do gastric lavage

Apply splints (plaster, metal, air splints)

Assist with lumbar puncture, ventriculostomy, uterine curettage, suturing, ENT procedures, pelvic exams, chest tubes, intubation

Use computer to order lab tests

Cardiac Rhythm interpretation

Other duties as assigned
