When NSS (the New Student Information System) is implemented for MCCCD, the format used for term numbering will change because the system only uses a four (4) character field to hold the data.  The following example shows how the term for Spring 2004 would be identified in NSS:

Spring Semester

*Century number: 1900 =3, 2000 = 4, etc.

The following terms codes are used to identify the semester for which courses are offered currently in SIS (Student Information System), and will also be used in NSS (New Student Information System):

TERM CODES FOR SEMESTERS
    2 = SPRING
       4 = SUMMER
           5 = SUMMER II
6 = FALL

The following examples show how terms are identified in NSS:
