Building the Future - Integrating Technology

Through its Center for Teaching and Learning, E-Learning Directives and Technology Plan, Estrella Mountain has set the standard for technology implementation on campus. They embrace student, faculty, staff, and community needs, plus indicate resources needed to continue the seamless integration of technology. Estrella Mountain remains focused on three important aspects for tech-nology in education:

Technology Education -
Students should learn about, understand and use technology, which can enrich their lives, expand academic and university transfer opportunities, and provide critical employment skills for entering the workforce of the global economy.

Using Education Technology -
Faculty and staff should be trained in the use of technology tools to improve teaching and learning, and professional development opportunities offered to assist staff in using technology resources effectively.

Access to Equipment -
The campus should be equipped with state-of-the-art technology and enable students to connect through the Internet to the vast resources that are now available. Estrella Mountain should continue to upgrade equipment, software and classrooms to support technology that allows students to remain current in their technology skills.
